Inspired by the topography lines of Mauna Kea,

we dry-stacked a sculpture in the round.

We played off the topography of the site. We planted white tiaré blossoms atop the sculpture; each flower is symbolic of Mauna Kea’s snow-capped winter mantle. We planted native pōhinahina to flow off the rock wall as clouds condense and fall as rain down Mauna Kea’s faces.
